Abstract

A combined water meter and electricity generation device comprising a water driven turbine arranged to drive both a water meter and an electricity generator. The device may be connected to the water mains supply of a commercial or domestic building, and the electricity generated may be fed into the national grid.

This invention relates to a combined electicity generator water meter
Watermeters are used to measure and cost the amount of water used by domestic and commercial users these devices are being used more and more because of drought due to climate change
According to the present invention there is provided a water turbine connected to the water mains the turbine drives an electricity generator combined with a water meter, when water is used in comercial or domestic premesis while being metered electricity can also be produced and fed into the grid by means of a suitable conection

  1. Claims
    A water mains driven turbine motor driving acombined electricity generator and water meter

    AMENDMENTS TO THE CLAIMS HAVE BEEN FILED AS FOLLOWS -
    A combined electricity generator and water meter driven by a water motor or turbine using mains water pressure.
    A combined electricity generator and water meter as claimed in claim one wherein the hydraulic motor meter equipment and electricity generator can each be replaced separately or in combination at different times in the case of malfunction maintenance or the installation schedule.
    A combined electricity generator and water meter as claimed in claim one where the metering can be read at a distance by telegraphic mechanical or wireless means.
    A combined electricity generator and water meter as claimed in claim one wherein electricity produced is fed into the national grid or used directly at source.
    A combined electricity generator and water meter substantially as described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings.
