Abstract

A hand-held irrigator for cleaning between teeth and bridge work comprises a micro-pump <B>3</B>, reservoir <B>6</B> and 12v batteries <B>4</B> contained within a casing <B>2</B>. The pump <B>3</B> pumps water or an antiseptic and water solution from the reservoir <B>6</B> via tubing <B>7</B> and a nozzle <B>1</B> directs the water or solution between the teeth. The casing <B>2</B> may be moulded in two halves and assembled by pressing the halves together, the reservoir <B>6</B> is screwed in after assembly. The reservoir <B>6</B> screws into the inlet of the pump which has a rubber seal <B>9</B> to prevent leaks. The irrigator may be used on humans or animals.

A.gua Floss
Description
The Aqua Floss is a hand held device for cleaning between teeth and under any bridge work in the human mouth (Can be used on animals)that the user has had done. It will flush out waste mater and help prevent the formation of plack This is possible by the moulded or stainless nozzle, shaped to what suits the user.
The nozzles can be placed any were in the mouth that needs attention, and is used totally to the users needs These nozzles are fitted to the outlet of a micro pump by standard pipe threads, which have been specially designed for this device.
The pump is powered by two 12v batteries and wired in line to power the micro pump.
The solution is pumped from the base of the device, and fed by a plastic pipe that is fitted to the inlet of the pump from the reservoir in the base.
The reservoir is fitted to the base and screws in to the inlet of the pump which has a rubber seal to prevent leaks.
The outercasing will bemoulded in two halves to an aesthetic shape that will accommodate the micro pump, batteries, and reservoir. The casing will be pressed together on assembly, and the reservoir screwed in finally.
This device can be used by individuals or the professional dentist It is completely self contained and unique in its power pack design and solution delivery.

Claims (4)

  1. Claims 1. The distinctive technical features are that the Aqua floss
    teeth and bridge work cleaning aid is totally free of external tubes and wires which are inlayed within a shroud to protect the workings.
  2. 2. As stated in claim I the tube internal connections assists the free movement and access to all angles and difficult areas of the mouth.
    3. It has an integral micro pump powered by batteries, this pump draws water and antiseptic solution from an integral reservoir joined by internal tubes as stated in claim I and 2.
  3. 3. Inter-changeable reservoir with screw cap and seal is joined to the micro pump be tubes as claimed in claim 1.2.3, for maintaining longer applications be fluid renewal.
  4. 4. The shroud contains all the working items stated in all the previous claims, where the reservoir is screwed to it to form the end cap and create the seal of the other end of the reservoir.
