Abstract

A blank comprises a number of fold, perforated and cut lines that allow a user to fold the blank to produce a container of the most appropriate size. By creasing, partial creasing, perforating, partial perforating, cutting or partial cutting in lines of close proximity and multidirectionally, packages can be made with differing dimensions, shapes and volumes all from the same master blank.

Backound: Companies who use large quantities of envelopes, boxes and protective coverings can have large stocks of dIffut packages to protect different sizes and shapes for postage or transport In order to reduce stocks of diflërent packages, make stock taking easier and reduce storage space it may be advantageous for these companies to utilise a flat diecut package which can be used to package different items using the mine diecut piece.
Statement of invention:
By creasing, partial creasing, perforating or partial perforating, cutting or partial cutting in lines of close proximity and multidirectionally packages can be made with diflëring dimensions, sizes, shapes and volumes all from the same master diecut piece. Master diecut pieces could for example be made from paper, paperboard, plastic or a composite.
NOTE: In all drawings solid lines are cut lines, dotted luies are creased or perforated.
Example 1.
Page 9/28 shows a master diecut piece, pages 10/28, 11/28 and 12/28 show how by selectively folding the master diecut piece diffrnt dimensions, sizes, shapes and volumes of envelopes and boxes can all be produced from the same master diecut piece.
Example 2.
Page 20/28 shows a master diecut piece having corner segments A,B,C and D, pages 21128 and 22i28 shows some of the envelopes and boxes which can be formed by selectively folding the master diecut piece.
Example 3.
Page 24/28 shows a master diecut piece being circular, page 25/28 shows how by selectively folding the master diccut piece shapes 1.5 can be formed. By folding at 1. a circular box base can be made while foldingat2. acirvularlid can bemade. Byfoldinganyatanglescircular trays and dishes couki be formed.

Page 27/28 shows a master diecut piece which by selectively fbldmg along lines 1. will fbrm abox base and by folding on lines 2. will form a box lid. The close proximity cutouts A,B,C and D allow easy formation of both box base and box lid.

    Claims: By creasing or partial creasing, perforating or partial perforating, cutting or partial cutting in lines of close proximity and multidirectionally, packages can be made with diflëring dimensions, sizcs, shapes and volumes from the same master diecut piece which could be made from for example paper, papeiboard, plastic or composite materials.
