Abstract
An accelerator of vulcanization is prepared by desulphurizing, preferably as described in Specification 223,410, diarylthioureas containing an alkylated amino group in each of the aryl residues. For example, tetramethyl-, or tetraethyl-diaminodiphenylthiourea is prepared by the condensation of unsymmetrical dimethyl- or diethyl-p-phenylenediamine with carbon bisulphide, and on desulphurizing, tetramethyl- or tetraethyl-pp-diaminodiphenylguanidine is obtained. In the same way is prepared p-diethyldiamino-m-dimethyldiphenylguanidine.
