Abstract
A wargaming display device comprises a clear transparent spherical capsule 2 having a removable lid. A toy 1 which may be spacecraft is placed within on a holding device. The capsule is mounted on a cradle 3 to allow freedom of movement in three axes, roll, pitch and yaw. The capsule is held in place via friction between said capsule and the cradle wherein the contact areas of the cradle may be ridged to promote grip. Said capsule is mounted on a height adjustable column 5. The column may be mounted on one or more adjustable joints 4 to allow a pivoting action between said column and a base member 6.
Description

The Englobe system (mk2). A system to present three dimensional
movement on the wargames tabth, enabling Roll, Pitch and Yaw through 360 degrees to be presented. Application potentials include, space, aircraft and submarine games, superhero and rocket assisted flight games, fantasy games which include winged creatures.

How It works: 1) The miniature Is fixed within a clear spherical capsule, this Is free to rotate on a clear cradle in a roll, pitch and yaw movement. Friction with the edges of the cradle prevents the sphere from free rotating the edges of the cradle In cotact with the sphere may be textured (roughened) to aid this.

2) Changes in altitude Is achieved through the use of a telescopic mount. The cradle Is magnetically 3ttached to this rod. To retain the use of the rot Vpitchlyaw facility at low altitudes (below the level of the olIapsed rod) the rod itself can tilt to the horizontal, and a compensatIng 90 degree joint Is added to he assembly to retain the cradle In the vertical aspect.

Easy removal/attacment of the cradly enables garners to set a second support at the position of the end of their move, laclfltating swift gameplay.

For the first time, all aspects of models become targets and firing platforms. Weapons can be.

bought to bear on the dorsal, ventral, fore, aft and broadside aspects. Shields arcs and firing arcs take on real sIgnif1canc. Rolls, Banks, Spins, Lofting attacks and lmmelman Turns arafinally possible!
