Abstract

A cable cover is used to hide cables running to, for example, TVs, videos and DVDs. The cover sits over the cables, up against the back of a television set. The cover has 4 sides only, a top and three sides. There is an open space on one side of the cover which is the side pushed against the back of the television set. There are a number of cut out openings 2 running along the bottom edges of the sides of the cover to allow cables to run into and out of the cover. There is a cut out opening 1 along the edge of the top of the cover which is pushed against the back of the television set. This allows cables to run into and out of the cover from above the cover.

Description

<p>TV CABLE TIDY</p>
<p>This invention relates to a cover for concealing unsightly TV, ViDEO, DVD, ARIELS and SKYJCABLE wires, and Multi-Way extension socket, which most homes use.</p>
<p>I</p>
<p>Currently the spaghetti of wires caused by the wonders of modem technology can be an eye-saw, although they are hidden behind the equipment, they are usually visible to someone in the room.</p>
<p>There are fewer chimney breasts these days, therefore TV's and equipment are on flat walls, so there is less space to push the wires into a corner to conceal them. In this day of modem living we are more conscious of keeping the living room tidy, not just for ourselves, but for visitors. We all want the benefits without the clutter, or in this case, unsightly wires.</p>
<p>The only cable tidies I have seen are the coil type, which wrap around the wires, but these do not conceal the multi-way socket and metres of extra wires, that are provided with new equipment. This cover conceals it all, as it fits over the cables and up against the TV Stand.</p>
<p>There are cut outs on all three bottom edges 2 and the top edge 1, nearest the TV, this is to allow for the Cable Tidy to fit over any external wires, allowing it to stand firmly in place, and closely against the TV Stand. There are only 4 sides (the ones shown in diagram plus the hidden opposite side panel) as the bottom, front and inside are open and hollow, to accommodate all of the cables and multi-way socket. Claim</p>

Claims (1)

  1. <p>Cover for concealing spaghetti of unsightly TV, ViDEO, DVD, AR1ELS and
    SKYJCABLE wires, and Multi-Way extension socket, stands upright against TV Stand.</p>
    <p>There are cut outs on all three bottom edges and the top edge, nearest the TV, this is to allow for the Cable Tidy to fit over any external wires, allowing it to stand firmly in place, and closely against the TV Stand.</p>
    <p>There are only 4 external sides as the bottom, front and inside are open and hollow, to accommodate all wires and multi-way socket.</p>
