Abstract
A missile (11) used to attack stationary or moving targets generates heat due to air friction over the surface. A blast shell (14) fired in response has a ring shaped heat sensor (21) built into the nose cone and this responds to the generated heat when in range. This initiates a trigger signal (20) to detonate the system.
