Abstract

243,453. Gooding, L. G. Aug. 30, 1924. Packing reels of paper and the like. - Relates to protective paper, cardboard and like wrappings of angular cross-section and provided with corrugations for protecting the edges of reels of paper, cylindrical, rectangular and like bodies. According to the invention, the wrapping is made in coiled form with one surface radially corrugated, the corrugations being formed deeper towards the axis of the coil. In the form shown in Fig. 2, radial corrugations 15 project inwardly from the surface 11 and longitudinal corrugations 16 mav be formed on the surface 12, which is at right angles to the surface 11. The corrugations 15 increase in depth towards the axis of the coil.
