Abstract
An advertising device for a vehicle seat is provided which allows passengers to the rear of the seat to view advertisement material. The device is fitted to the headrest of a vehicle seat by means of holes, loops or hoops 2 through which are inserted the posts of a headrest. The advertising device may be further secured to the seat by means such as a normal or elastic cord 5. A transparent window 3 may be provided and advertising literature is inserted from the back, and secured by folding the front flap by using hook and loop fasteners.
Description

Seat Back Advertiser

Description

The invention s a devicc that attaches to the back of a vehicic front scat to enable rear passengers to read advertising.

Whilst passengers arc travelling in a vehicle (especially a Taxi), there is an opportunity to read advertising that will be displayed from the headrest directly in front.

Whilst the normal method of advertising is using a television monitor, that displays advcrts in a loop" this is very expensive to setup, can be stolen and is expensive to change the advcrts. This device solves the problems associated with internal advertising in vehicles by using a safe device that vill not cause injury to passengers, yet the advertising can be changed regularly and very cost efficient.

The Seat Back Advertiser will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which.

Figure I Shows the device from the front, i.e. the side facing the passenger in the back of the vehicle.

Figure 2 Shows the device from the back, which is placed (lush with the rear of the front scat.

Figure 3 Shows the device from the side, showing the way the bottom part is folded over to secure the advertising.

Figure 4 Shows a different perspective of the device, in a layered format.

Figure I shows the device from the front, the majority of this device (I) is made from nylon, so as to not harm passengers in case of an accident. The see through PVC (3) is sewn to the main fabric to form a window. The 2 straps (2) arc sewn onto the device, the headrest is removed, and the posts inserted through these loops, then the headrest is replaced. This keeps the device secure, and safe, whilst making sure the advertiser is at the correct height for the rear passenger.

The arrow (4) shows the fold, when the advert is secure in the advertiser. An elastic cord (5) and a hook (6) are used to stop the advertiser from I ithng off the rear of the front seat, for security and safety.

Figure 2 shows the back of the advertiser, but shows that it is made from the same material (1) as the front, the main functions of the device is to keep the advertising material stationary, and positioned correctly, this is done by the sewn guide lines (9) so the advert is pushed up the hole in the back (7) but can not move left or right, but slides up until it reaches the top guide line (9). After the advert is positioned correctly in the device, the bottom is folded over to secure the advert, and it is fixed using the "hook & loop" fastners (X) Figure 3 shows the device from the side, this shows the bottom folded over to secure the advert in place, and shows how thin the actual device is, and therefore will not impede the passengers. The "hook & loop" (S) fastners are shown, together with the loops (2) or hoops which attach the device to the seat.

Figure 4 shows the device split up, you can clearly sec that the front half of the device is longer than the back half, to enable the folding of the bottom flap (4). It also shows the transparent window (3) so the advert can be seen b the passenger, together with the solid back made from nylon (1). The loops are shown again (2). Claim
