Abstract

A storage system (30) for a vehicle having a drop-down tailgate, or a kit of parts for making the same, comprising a main storage body and lid for fixing to a vehicle (10) in a position that extends at least partially beyond a periphery of the vehicle using a mounting means (70) wherein the lid is lower than the lower extent of the vehicle's tailgate. 10 The storage system (30) aims to provide convenient storage for a generator, tools, guns or other items whilst not taking up space in the vehicle (10) or inhibiting access to other storage areas (48) of the vehicle (10). The storage system (12, 14, 30) may additionally be fitted with locking means (60), a generator an alarm (62), lights (40), parking sensors (50) and/or camera lens (95).
