Abstract

A magnetically suspended globe comprises a globe made of steel floating in an electromagnetic field. A world-time display, latitude and longitude and radio may be incorporated. The globe may have a printed map of the earth or may represent different planets. The globe can also represent a sports ball, e.g. a football, cricket ball or golf ball, and a photograph frame may be incorporated. There may be a connection to a computer.

Description

FlOatjn2 globe and floating derivative product range
Basic outline description:
Globe made of steel; hollow containing a magnet in north polar position and a smaller magnet in south polar position - globe floats on electromagnetic fields which can also spin on its axis + the fields are generated by a mains supply of electricity via a battery charger: My existing sample: Specification details; charger:- Model: LK-D120040 Input: 230-240v a.c. 5OHz9W Output: 12v d.c. 400mA BS: EN60335 The globe floats within the generated electromagnetic fields of a stand which conducts the electricity flow. I believe the bottom of the stand at a point perpendicular to the south pole axis of globe contains a "Hall Effect" magnetic field strength sensor which in turn senses the smaller magnet in the south pole of globe. I believe the sensor provides input to a feedback circuit which controls the electric current provided to the electromagnet contained within the casing of the top of the stand at a point perpendicular to the north polar axis of the globe; this feedback control circuit holds the globe in mid-air providing stable levitation I also have intellectual property to design a further derivative product range based upon the floating globe mechanics for any product levitation using the principle of electromagnetics.
My intellectual property includes designs for the following: 1) Schoolchildren's floating dexterity-testing + world geographical' learning-tool globes to incorporate the following designs.
a) World-time electronic LED displays, possibly digital.
b) Latitude + longitude positions electronically displayed for specific global locations perhaps using postcodes.
c) Radio + hi-fl (hi-fidelity) in-built within casing + plinth of globe stand.
d) Different planet globes i.e moon globes which float.
e) Sportsball globes which float i.e a football/cricket/golf ball which can still depict a printed map of the world upon which a photo-frame can be built/fixed to the globe to display a class of children or indeed, a school sports team.
N.B. If any of my designs need to include battery-powered electrical supply independent of an electrical mains supply then these designs can obviously be utilised for children's safety + regulatory checks by any GB Government Standards Agency will be welcomed.
I also have build-on features for any product range to connect to personal computers.
ii) Floating Retail gifts wing electromagnetic levitation based upon designs commissioned to contracted clients of RP Adderley Services i.e floating lamp-globes + floating liquid-globes iii) Floating Commercially branded' products/images for the business use of RP Adderley Services' Customers i.e. a) floating hi-fl + other electrical "branded" products b) automotive + mechanized machinery products c) fragrance dispensers d) work tools e) furniture f) books g) clothing etc..
N.B. All designs constitute globe + globe-stand manufacture including any power supply units + adaptors using metals + alloys thereof, timber, stone + plastics + carbon fibres.
Liquids may also be used.
