QMASThR 2005
BACK GROUND
Poollsnooker playera who have dexterity problems e:g stroke victims who have slight paralysis are excluded from playing pool/snooker because they can not hold the cue sufficiently with their bridging hand. Poollsnoojcer balls can on occasions roll in to awkward cueing situation e.g. cueing over other pool/snooker balls and bridging up tight to the cushions of either table pool or snooker
IATEMENT OF INVENTION
To over come these problems my invention can be strapped to the pool/siooker players bridging hand left or right to allow the cue to glide smoothly and accurately so it aids the striking of the cue ball and also makes it easier to cue over awkward poollsnooker balls allowing the player disabledJable to strike the object ball more efficiently.
ADYANTAQES
My invention allows poollsnooker players who are disabled to play a game they thought they never could e:g I thought of this cue aid to help my uncle play the game of pool after he had a stroke and lost the feeling in his left fingers I made this invention and he is now playing to a similar standard to what he used to and he finds it very useful. I also found out that 1 could use my invention and aid my cueing in awkward situations as described in earlier paragraphs QMSTEI 2QQ5
DRAWiNG DESCRIPTION
Figure 1 on page 1 illustrates the components involved in my invention I equals Velcro attached to 2 the leatherette length 270mm width 30mm depth 2mm there fore my invention is fully adjustable to be worn on either hand left or right 6 as shown on figure 3 and 4 page 2.
Figures 1 and 2 on page 1 also highlights 3 wooden cue rest length 130mm width 12mm depth l2mm splayed over the 1 3Omm from 12mm down to 4mm with in the width and depth concave recess of 12mm wide by 6mm deep to accommodate the cue as illustrated in figure 3 and 4 page 2.
Figure 1 and 2 page 1 number 4 equals cue glide.
Figures 3 and 4 on page 2 shows how my invention is to aid disabled poolisnooker players who have dexterity problems e g stroke vittims, arthritis * poor circulation it works by allowing the cue to glide smoothly upon the bridging hand of the pool/snooker player thus allowing a more accurate strike of the cue ball illustrated.
My invention can also be used by able pool/snooker player to cue over awkward pool/snooker balls to strike the object ball easily and accurately in the same way as figures 3 and 4 on page 2 illustrate. it-
