Abstract

An absorbent mat constructed from 2-ply, 3-ply, or 4-ply paper tissue for placing beneath the feeding and drinking bowls of domestic animals. The mat will catch and absorb any spillage. The mat be replaced when soiled and disposed of.

The Disposable Pet Mat
Patent specification - Written description
A unique specially designed mat that would be placed under the food and water bowls of a pet dcxi or cat.
The device would be fabricated from a strong 2, 3 or 4 ply absorbent paper tissue material and would be offered in different sizes: smaller mats for cats and larger ones for dogs. The function of this device would be to collect bits of food and water that spill wten an animal eats and drinks It is. of course, quite common to find pieces of food and puddles of water around the bowls of a pet dog or cat. If the bowls are simply placed. on the bare floor, this leaves a mess which the pet owner then needs to clean up. Some pet owners place plastic. mats under their pets' bowls. Whilst this may protect the floor, the plastic mats still need to be cleaned periodically. Moreover, some amount of water may find its way under the mat thus staining the floor anyway.
To correct these shortcomings, The Disposable Pet Mat would provide the pet owner with a more convenient and hygienic means of protecting the floor area around the food and water bowls of a pet dog or cat. One of these absorbent tissue mats would be placed onto the floor and the bowls then set on the mat.
As the animal drops bits of food and splashes water, the mat would contain the spillage in a neat and hygienic manner. The pet owner would simply dispose of the mat when it has reached a sufficient point of soiling and put a new one in its place. This, then, would assure that the area around the Det's food and water bowls would remain clean and neat.

  1. Patent Specification - Claim
    The Disposable Pet Mat Is a disposable absorbent paper tissue material either 2, 3 or 4 ply in any shape or size to be placed under the food/drinking bowls of domestic animals.
