Abstract

A letter box cover comprises two sides and a curved front and top. It is made from a hard plastic composition and can be any colour so that it matches door interiors. It fixes over the letterbox on the inside of the door by seven screws. In use the cover directs any object pushed through the letterbox down towards the floor, thus preventing people poking sticks and the like through. It also prevents people reaching and looking through the letterbox.

Description

CLEVER BOX COVER
This invention relates to a letter box, it enables a letter box to become more secure. The clever box cover fits on the inside of the door adding more security to the door it is being fitted to. This device is made of hard plastic which can vary in colour to match the door it is being attached to. It will stop people looking through the letter bOx or poking items through such as sticks or poles to obtain keys that are in view. This is done by placing the cover over your existing letter box from the inside. This is done by seven fixing screws.
This cover also has sides, this is to prevent people putting hands through and obtaining keys that are left in the lock of the door. It is also curved, this prevents poles or such like objects being inserted through. This is achieved because of the curved shape as any object inserted will be forced downwards (shown in fig: 2/2).

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM
I claim the clever box cover makes doors more secure by attaching the cover to the existing letter box from the inside with seven fixing screws. As it is made of hardened plastic it is durable and long lasting and able to be made in any colour to match door interiors. It will prevent people looking through your letter box and seing what would normally be on display such as keys. It will also prevent people poking sticks or such like objects through to obtain anything in view. This is achieved as the clever box cover has sides and is curved in shape. So nothing can be pushed through without being forced downwards and nothing can be forced sideways as the sides will also force anything downwards. So I claim the clever box cover to be an assett once fitted to any door.
