Abstract

An electronic device for detecting unwanted chemical substances in a drink or beverage. The device is either portable being placed into the drink container (Fig. 2) or integrated into the container itself (Fig. 1). A sample of the drink enters the device via a small opening 8. Light from a coherent light source such as a laser 10 may pass through the sample of liquid and the transmitted light analysed by detection means 7. Alternatively the sample of liquid may be probed electrically. The device comprises means for alerting the user either visually or audibly to the presence of the chemical contaminants. The device is particularly suitable for detecting so-called date-rape drugs placed illicitly in a person's drink.

Description

TEChNICAL FIELD
The presented device, a protection system, in the form of a microminiature chemical traces analyser date- rape' deterrent. Is embodied and used either as a portable device or integrated into a libation container.
BACKGROUND OF TIlE ART
The presented device, either integrated into a libation container or carried conveniently by the user portably, as a handheld device, analogous in size to a swizzle stick. Is a micro electronic means designed to offer users protection against date-rape drug crime. Thus provide deterrence aimed at warding off miscreant intention.
Over the last decade incidents of drugged alcohol drug related crime has risen sharply. Drug related crinies have caused distress and misery to both men and women. The growing occurrence of unwanted chemical substances placed slyly, unwanted, into an unsuspecting victims libation, whilst he/she is in a social circumstance, i.e. pub, club, party or other social venue is a merciless dissatisfaction.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The presented product research and development focuses upon a portable and reusable means designed to determine drug contaminates in liquid libation/s placed therein for the purpose of miscreant intention. The presented device essential technical feature embodies use of: Variable ON/OFF switch Conductive electron probe means Electron-volt detection analyser means Coherent light source means Molecular-density detection analyser means Integrated Circuit (IC means) IC logic memory means Power source (battery) means Audible sound alert means Visual light alert means External case
THE PROBLEM
The presented device technical feature explained by example, addresses three distinct issues: * TIB NEED FOR A DATE-RAPE DRUG DETERANT * GROWING CONCERN (THE PROBLEM ITSELF HOME OFFICE STATISTICS) * SOLUTION TO TIlE PROBLEM (TECHNICAL FEATURE AN.!) EMBODiMENT) a
S
TIRE NEED FOR A DATE-RAFE DRUG DETERANT
The following article is just one example of many. in order to avoid any unwanted attention or to cause further anxiety and ofiimce in this case. Care has been taken to protect the identity of the victim/s involved.
In this particular incident the victim, by her own brave admission, and quick thinking partner was lucky.
The victim was spared a serious assault.
- --.------------------------------------- - GROWING CONCERN (THE PROBLEM iTSELF HOME OFFICE STATISTICS) SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM (TECHNICAL FEATURE AND EMBODIMENTS) The presented invention, specific embodiment of technical features will now he described by way of example with reference to accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 Show the presented device integrated into a libation container.
Figure 2 Show the presented device placed by user into a libation container.
Figure 3 Show an exploded cross sectional view of the presented device.
Figure 3.1 shows an alternative embodiment exploded cross sectional view of said-presented device.
Figure 1 Figure I first embodiment illustrates the presented device integrated directly into the glass, cup or libation contaifler. Whereji said libation container, houses the electronic component means too analyse liquid- libations purred into said container. The liquid/libation, in this instance, itself; completes a circuit thereby activating said-presented device, which then automatically analyses the liquid/libation for unwanted specific drug chemical substances, throughout the duration of the libation liquid being contained in said container.
Figure 2 Figure 2 Second embodiment is presented having been activated by the user and then placed by said user into a glass cup or libation container. Wherein the presented device analyses said liquid-libation for unwanted drug chemical substance throughout the duration that the presented device and liquid-libation is contained in said container or until the user removes and deactivates said device.
Figure 3 Figure 3 is an exploded cross sectional view of the presented device, wherein, in accordance with figure 1, switch (I) is activated automatically or, in accordance with figure 2, switch (1) is activated manually.
However activated, switch (.1) either initiate a coherent light source (light amplified stimulated emission of radiation). Or similar light source (10), via switch (1), which is ui-turn coupled to IC means (5), coupled to conductive substrate (5.1) IC means (5), coupled to laser or similar light source (10) via conductive substrate (5.2) or a low powered electron volt probe means (9 figure 3.1).
In either embodiment the liquid libation substance enters a small opening (8) in the presented device outer casing (11). The laser beam or other coherent light source (10.1) or a low powered electron volt (10.2 figure 3.1) passes from said opening (8) into said liquid-libation. Wherein said beam (10.1) or low powered electron volt (10.2 figure 3.1) strikes a laser or similar light source (10) molecular-density photon (10.1) or electron volt (10.2 figure 3.1) detection means (7).
The molecular-density photon or electron volt detection means (7) in association with IC means (5) and IC logic analyser memoty means (6) features, via conductive substrate (5.4), (5.5) and (5.6) respectively, specifically looks for, volumetrically, predetermined chemical signatures pectrascopic/e1ectron_volt logic.
The determination of said signatures then activate the devices visual and/or audible alert means (2)1(3) respectively, via coupled conductive substrate (5.3), thus alerting the device user to the presence of potentially harmful substances in said libation.
The presented device contains a power source in the form of either a replaceable and/or rechargeable battery means (4). Means allowing, said Laser beam or similar light source or other coherent light source 1 fl 1\ S1+ (I A 1\ . .,. ..-.S.4 1:,.L.--..,.-....., ii A\ .....- ISfl.UI&.) tflJ. Wherein said light source means (10) or electron volt (10.2) passes between the presented device opening (8) and enters the molecular-density photon or electron volt detection analyser means (7).
The presented device external casework (11) is resistant to liquid contamination. To this end, transparent or conductive material (9) is embodied; wherein said material (9) prevents liquid/libation from entering casework (iii) presented device components.
