Abstract

An edible iced lollipop uses an edible confection such as frozen nougat as a stick to hold the lollipop by hand as it is consumed. In the time taken to consume the main iced part of the lollipop, the frozen nougat part should have defrosted. The stick part would then be suitable to be consumed. The only thing then to be discarded would be the necessary wrapping paper, for the product.

Description

1 2424818 Edible Iced Lollipop
Invention Description
My invention is for a lollipop stick to be made from an edible substance which would be suitable for freezing together with the main part of the finished product.- an edible iced lollipop.
The problem with iced lollipops at present is that when the iced part is consumed, the consumer usually discards the wooden stick.
My invention would prevent this, because consumers could also consume the edible lollipop stick.
I fhund that a nougat confection (with or without nuts) is ideal for this purpose Approximately two-thirds of the lollipop stick (of nougat) would be frozen within the other iced product, leaving a sufficient part of the stick to be held while consuming the main iced product After consuming the main iced product the stick part could also be consumed.
Detailed Description
During manufacture, approximately two-thirds of the lollipop stick (nougat)2 should be placed within the iced flavoured section 1 of the product. When frozen, the stick will have adhered to the nougat section to form the finished product:- an edible iced lollipop The stick part should be square shaped on its full length to provide the strength to support the main iced section, and to maintain the strength for the consumer to hold it while consuming the main iced section lfthe stick part was made thinly, it may bend as it defrosts, which would make it awkward to hold while consuming the main iced section of the lollipop
