Abstract
Water is pumped 6 from the sump 7 to the gas exchanger 1, air or oxygen is also pumped into the gas exchanger at point 2 the water thin films though the bio media 4 and is absorbed into the water this causes the water level to rise and operate the level sensor 3 injecting more gas into the exchanger unit maintaining a constant pressure and water level. The saturated water is pumped to the plant vessels 5 and returns to the sump 7 via the return 8 where it is recirculated to the gas exchanger.
