Abstract

The invention provides a two post lever arch mechanism having a base plate which is thickened at the foundation of the fixed posts by folding the base plate material through 180{. Thus the thickness 2x of the base plate at the foundation is double that of the base plate thickness 1x elsewhere.

Description

SAMPLE DESCRIPTION
Title: Lever Arch Mechanism
Technical Field
The present invention relates to Lever Arch Mechanism.
Background Art
A Lever Arch Mechanism is a fitting for the Lever Arch File to hold paper! documents. When the mechanism is full of paper / documents and has been used frequently, the foundation holding the posts on the mechanism will weaken and cause the posts to move. In so doing, the arch component cannot close properly onto the posts, thus affecting the function of the mechanism.
Summary of invention
The present invention is to produce a strong, durable and an economically cost Lever Arch Mechanism without the use of a thick base plate. This is achieved by folding up 180 the base plate at the foundation holding the posts and between the posts, thus doubling the thickness at this foundation only.
In this way, there is no need to use a thick base plate of 2 times thickness, thus saving the amount of material used resulting in a stronger and more durable Lever Arch Mechanism that is produced at a reduced cost.
Specific Example
In order to allow the present invention more readily understood, the following description is given, by way of example, of specific embodiments of a Lever Arch Mechanism made in accordance with the present invention.
Reference will be made to the accompanying drawing in which:- (1) Figure 1 shows the top view of the Lever Arch Mechanism (2) Figure 2 (a) shows the front view of the Lever Arch Mechanism (3) Figure 2 (b) shows the side view of the Lever Arch Mechanism when close and when open.
(1) Figure 1 shows the area of base plate of the Lever Arch Mechanism with single ("lx") and double ("2x") thickness. The area of the base plate surrounding the foundation of the posts and between the posts are the area of double thickness ("2x") and the rest of the base plate is of single thickness ("lx").
(2) Figure 2 shows the area of the base plate with single ("lx") and double ("2x") thickness. On observation, the base plate is folded up 180 at the foundation holding the posts and between the posts, thus doubling the thickness at this foundation only. In this way, there is no need to use a thick base plate of 2 times thickness ("2x"), thus saving the amount of material used resulting in a stronger and more durable Lever Arch Mechanism that is produced at a reduced cost. )

Claims (1)

  1. What we claim is:- 1. A strong, durable and economically cost Lever Arch Mechanism is produced by folding up 1800 the base plate at the foundation holding the posts where this double thickness is found only at the area surrounding this foundation with the other parts of the base of the Lever Arch Mechanism of single thickness and this will strengthen the posts without the use of a thick base plate of 2 times thickness, thus saving the amount of material used resulting in a stronger and more durable Lever Arch Mechanism that is produced at a reduced cost.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows What we claim is - I A lever arch mechanism having its posts mounted on a base plate at a foundation, the thickness of this base plate (foundation) being doubled in the area surrounding this foundation by folding the base plate through I 8O
