Abstract
An illuminated display device with colorful and cloudy dynamic light include a motor, a transparent body rotated and driven by the motor, a plurality of LED light with different colors, and at least one display board with optical transparency. The transparent body is a solid body with a plurality of irregular light refractive plane therein. In usage, light from LED lights with different colors emits into the rotated transparent body. Then the light is refracted or reflected by the irregular light refractive planes inside the transparent body and is projected on the display board so as to form irregular dynamic light with colorful and cloudy effect. Thus the attraction, novelty and decorative effect of the illuminated display device are enhanced.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an illuminated display device, especially to a display device formed by a transparent body with a plurality of LED light. A plurality of irregular light refractive plane is disposed inside the transparent body so as to make the light of LED emits on a display board with optical transparency. Thus the device There are a lot of different designs on illuminative devices such as various lamps or illuminated display devices used in interior decoration. Although there is diversity of appearance of the lamps or ornaments, most of them are static. Thus it's easy to lose attraction after being used a period of time. Just part of them has dynamic design with regular change. There is still a need for illuminated devices with varying and irregular dynamic light effect.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Therefore it is a primary object of the present invention to provide an illuminated display device composed by a transparent body with a plurality of irregular light refractive plane therein, a motor for driving the transparent body rotating in low speed, and a plurality of LED light with different colors as a light source. The light from the LED lights emits into the rotating transparent body and then is refracted or reflected by the irregular light refractive planes, passing through the transparent body and then projected on a display board with optical transparency. Thus the device produces a colorful, cloud dynamic light with various changes so as to increase the attraction, novelty and decorative effect of the illuminative device.
It is another object of the present invention to provide an illuminated display device in which the transparent body is made by a plastic transparent casing. The transparent body is a closed space that is accommodated with a plurality of transparent plastic blocks with irregular shapes and is filled with transparent liquid such as water or oil so as to form a solid transparent body with a plurality of irregular light refractive plane therein.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 2 is an explosive view of the embodiment in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a cross sectional view of the embodiment in Fig. 1; Fig. 4 is an explosive view of a transparent body in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 5 is a perspective view of another embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFFERED
EMBODIMENT
Refer to Fig. 1, Fig. 2 & Fig. 3, an illuminated display device 1 in accordance with the present invention consists of a base 10, at least one display board 20, a motor 30, a transparent body 40 and a plurality of LED (Light-Emitting Diode) light 50. The base 10 is an hollow casing with various shapes and a power supply 11, a push button 12 for turning on or off the illuminated display device 1 and a motor 30 are disposed therein. The power supply 11 is either inner battery or external power source for providing the illuminated display device I electricity. At least one display board 20 is arranged on the base 10. The display board 20 is a plastic membrane with optical transparency, enclosing outside a transparent body 40 so that the light from the transparent body 40 is projected on the display board 20 for being displayed. Moreover, the shape or design of the display board 20 can be modified in order to match the design of the base 10 for aesthetic appearance. A rotating shaft 31 is disposed on the motor 30 for driving the transparent body 40 rotating in low speed. The transparent body 40 is a solid transparent body with various shapes. In a preferred embodiment shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 3, & Fig. 4, the transparent body 40 is a ball. The transparent body 40 features on that a plurality of irregular light refractive plane 41 is disposed therein. Outside the transparent body 40, on the edge of the lower part thereof, a plurality of LED light 50 and a circuit board 51 are arranged in the base 10. The LED lights are in different colors and the light from the LED lights emits toward the transparent body 40. The lighting patterns of each LED lights are controlled by the circuit board 51. They may be turned on or off at the same, or in turns so as to increase the attraction and variability of the present invention.
In usage, light from LED lights 50 with different colors emits into the rotating transparent body 40. By the rotation of the transparent body 40 and the irregular light refractive planes 41 therein, the light is refracted or reflected and then is projected on the display board 20 with optical transparency. Thus a dynamic light with colorful and cloudy effects is formed so as to increase the attraction, novelty and decorative effect of the illuminated display device 1.
Refer to Fig. 2, Fig. 3, & Fig. 4, the transparent body 40 has better a solid body without any empty space so that a better refractive or reflective effect is achieved by the irregular light refractive planes 41 therein. When being manufactured, the transparent body 40 can be made by two semispherical transparent plastic casing 42 integrated with each other by ultrasonic welding so as to form a closed space. A plurality of transparent plastic block 43 is disposed in the closed space inside the transparent casing 42 and transparent liquid 44 such as water or oil is filled through an opening (not shown in figure) preset on the transparent casing 42 into the closed space. Thus a solid transparent body 40 without air space is formed. Due to different densities of the transparent plastic block 43 and the transparent liquid 44 inside the transparent body 40, irregular surface of each of the transparent plastic block 43 inside the transparent liquid 44 works as an irregular light refractive plane 41. Moreover, a shaft 45 installed on the transparent casing 42 sleeves on the rotating shaft 3 1 of the motor 30 so as to make the transparent body 40 being driven and rotated by the motor 30.
There is no limit on the shapes or appearance of the illuminated display device 1. For example, the shape of the base 10 and the display board 20 can be designed into a pyramidal base lOa and a pyramidal display board 20a, as shown in Fig. 5. The appearance of the present invention has more changes.
Claims (13)
- What is claimed is: 1. An illuminated display device comprising a basewhich is a hollow casing with a power supply therein a motor with a rotating shaft disposed inside the base a transparent body that is a solid transparent body and is arranged above the rotating shaft of the motor for being driven and rotated by the motor; a plurality of irregular light refractive plane is arranged inside the transparent body; at least one LED light arranged on outer edge of the transparent body for emitting light into the transparent body; and at least one display board that is a thin plate with optical transparency arranged above the base, enclosing the transparent body in accordance with the above structure, light from LED lights emits into the rotated transparent body, being refracted or reflected by the rotation of the transparent body and the irregular light refractive planes therein and then projected onto the display board with optical transparency so as to form dynamic light for displaying.
- 2.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the transparent body is made by transparent plastic casing being welded to form a closed space; a plurality of irregular transparent plastic block is disposed inside the closed space and transparent liquid is filled into the closed space so as to form the transparent body.
- 3.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein there is no air space inside the transparent body.
- 4.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein there is no air space inside the transparent body.
- 5.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein irregular surface of each of the transparent plastic block inside the transparent liquid forms an irregular light refractive plane.
- 6.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein a shaft is disposed on the transparent body for sleeving on the rotating shaft of the motor.
- 7.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the transparent body is a ball.
- 8.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the transparent body is a ball.
- 9.The illuminated display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein there is no limits on shape of the transparent body.
