Abstract

An adjustable end board for use in a ball game comprises a vertical back wall and two vertical sidewalls. Preferably the sidewalls are of adjustable length, e.g. telescopic, and are attached to the back wall by hinges. The apparatus is placed on the ground such that the sidewalls and back wall define a playing area. The playing area may be increased or reduced in size by extending or retracting the sidewalls. In use, a jack ball is rolled into the playing area defined by the board. Players then attempt to knock the jack against the back wall using a set of golf balls and a putter.

Losing team leader rolls the small black ball (on carpet/lawn) making a note where he started as this is where play will commence from. The ball * should be rolled approximately between 4 and 12 paces. Where the ball stops controls where the Jack's Black board is placed - see below * : *::
Example 1
4 to 6 paces Jack's Black board is opened out with the telescopic arms unfolded but not pulled out.
This is placed on the floor so that the ball is in the centre between the two arms parallel with the back board - as shown
Example 2
Over 6 paces but not more than 8 paces Jack's Black board is opened out with the telescopic arms half extended to mark shown. This is placed on the floor so that the ball is in the centre between the two arms parallel with the back board to increase the playing area- as shown RULES FOR JACK'S BLACK GOLF PUTTING GAME Continuation no 1
Example 3
Over 8 paces Jack's Black board is opened out with the telescopic arms are fully extended. This is placed on the floor so that the ball is in the centre between the two arms parallel with the back board to increase the playing area - as shown.
Playingthegame a *.a The object of the game is to putt the ball and hit the small black ball to knock it on to the Jack's Black board WITHOUT the putting ball touching any part of the Jack's Black board.

up and placed behind the JB board (for scoring after all shots are played) . . Once a player has knocked the black ball against the JB board the player who is nearest the black ball with the remaining shots receives a point.
Knock ons are allowed.
The remaining players can also score a point if they knock their opponent's ball onto the JIB board without their ball touching the JIB board. If both players balls touch the JIB board they are both removed and placed behind for scoring At the end of each game the balls behind the JIB board are counted, if the balls are equal there are no points but for instance if there are 2 red balls and I yellow ball the yellow gets I point - the balls behind the JB board are penalty points.
If no one knocks the black ball onto the JIB board the nearest ball to the black ball wins the point. One point is also scored if you knock your opponents ball on to the JIB board without your ball touching the JIB board otherwise both balls are removed.
The first team to 9 points wins the game 8 8 8
