Abstract

242,191. Shiras, D. R. May 27, 1925. Silos.-An airtight silo 11 is fitted with a shaft 17 and one or more propellers 26 for ejecting the contents through an opening 14 in alignment with it. The shaft is rotated by hand or power, e.g. by a pulley 25 and gearing 21. The shafts 23, 17 run in airtight bearings, and the door 15 has an airtight packing 16.
