Abstract

An adjustable backrest may be converted into a tray or table having a plurality of legs. The table has a surface upon which games or activities may be played. The backrest may have a padded cushion. A prop may be provided to hold the table top in a desired position.

Describe the idea and what it actually does: It is a portable, lightweight and multi-purpose back rest/table/chessboard/drawing board for use both indoors and outdoors. It can be used by all age groups designed for the following: People with back problems.
Designed to make floor seating more comfortable than it's ever been - Opens up as a small table on legs - e.e Provides entertaining activities for all ages such as:- chessboard f f draughts - 5 + i- drawing board èe 3 Explain in detail how the idea would be operated or used: Back rest - opens up as a prop/lumbar support to enable the user to sit as comfortably as possible on the floor or grass without needing to use your hand for support. It is also fitted complete, with an anti-grip device for maintaining a secure position. -.ee ff9 Table - the versatile frame allows this invention to double up as a small table on legs. - . 3 Drawing board - can be put up into five adjustable positions to create a comfortable drawing position for the user. - . 3 Activity Boards - Can provide hours of fun for chess/draughts lovers, once in upright table position. r- f'9 -v..
Describe the physical Characteristics of the ideas: a) Size: various Height: various Length: various Width: various b) Shape: Rectangular c) Type of materials used: plastic What features do you believe your idea has that makes it unique and appealing? Its size, weight and portability are its key attributes allowing the user the freedom to use both arms when sitting on the floor or grass, alternatively requiring a surface to place a drink/book on and it is ideal for outdoor picnics. The drawing board and activity facility, will occupy hours of entertainment for people of all ages.
What need does the idea fulfil? It provides the user with the option to sit more comfortably on the floor/ grass without having to suffer the pains of propping yourself up.
Also, the small table features is a great advantage as well as being hygienic especially in terms of food and drink and would avoid having to eat off the floor.
