Abstract

An absorbent bib for dribbling babies comprises two sections, a collar/top section and a bib section each made from two layers of terry towelling with a polyester interlining that are attached together. Preferably the collar section is attached on top of the bib section to provide extra protection for the baby's clothes and chest. Preferably the bib resembles the shape of a strawberry and is detachably fastened around the neck of the baby by Velcro (RTM).

Description

Strawbeny babys bib Backgroimd This invention relates to Babs bibs.
Most babies dribble when they are teething and need to protect their clothing and chests from dribble. This can mean that their clothes are often wet; and babs chests are consequently not kept thy. Most conventional baby bibs on the market are designed to protect babs clothes from food and drink spillages.
Some baby bibs have plastic backing, to help keep baby thy. This plastic often cracks with wear and does not tumble thy well. Some plastics can melt when the bib is placed on a radiator to dry.

Statement of invention
To overcome this, this invention proposes a bib that has a total of four layers of cotton teny towelling, with a layer of additional polyester interlining between each pair of teny towelling layers.
This invention offers protection to babs chest and clothes from dribbles, and keeps baby dry without the use of plastic.
This invention is not symmetrical in shape and it represents a strawberry.
The absence of plastic means it can also be ironed.
Advantages The four layers of fabric, and two layers of interlining will absoth saliva, and provide extra protection for babys clothes and chest.
The bib can be washed at 40 degrees and can be ironed as no plastic has been used Dwu Figure one shows the front perspective of the bib from above. Sections one and two.
The fabric is cut to resemble an asymmetrical strawbeny (section one).

Section two is trimmed in cotton.

1) A baby's bib, providing four layers of cotton terry towelling 2) A
baby's bib made in the shape of an asymmetrical strawberry.
3) A baby's bib with two additional layers of polyester interlining between each pair of terry towelling layers.
