Abstract

A board game based on the theme of celebrities comprises a board divided into squares. The squares are coloured to delineate different playing areas. Each player takes on the role of an agent, and cards are used to control the celebrities. The cards are laid on the board within the marked squares.

BOARD GAME
The present invention relates to what is commonly known as a board game in which a playing surface, or board, is used as the vehicle for playing pieces of some kind which are moved around the board by a number of players according to a set of rules.
There are considerable verities Of board games already in existence.
These games cover a wide range of themes or concepts around which they are played. Board games frequently use a number of means controlling how it is played, including; Dice, counters, money or tokens, pieces representing the players and chance or question cards.
There is however, a novel theme and concept for a board game, that would be of interest to players and give entertainment.
According to the present invention there is provided a board game comprising of a theme, concept, playing surface and plurality of cards for playing a board game.
Specific details of the invention will now be described by way of
example:
THEME
"Celebrities"
CONCEPT
Each player takes on the role of a "celebrity agent" and plays the game using the playing surface and plurality of cards provided to control the "celebrities".

PLAYII1G SURFACE Figure I shows a board set out into 100 smaller squares and illustrates four identical player areas 1,2,3 and 4.Each area represents a colour; 1, red 2, yellow 3, green 4, blue Figure 2 shows the same board as figure 1, except that instead of player areas, it illustrates nine named squares; 1, Cards 2, A book signing 3, A radio interview 4, On a TV chatshow 5, In the paper 6, (1) 7'(2) 8,(3) 9,(4) Figure 3 shows the same board as figurer and figure 2, except that instead of player areas or named squares, it illustrates sixty four celebrity squares.
Each of the squares represents a different celebrity, category and colour; 1 - I 6, red 17 - 32, blue 33 - 48, green 49 - 64, yellow.

THE CARDS
Figure 4 shows four large squares representing four squares from the corner of figure 1. Figure 4 also illustrates the cards, marked on the figure by a 2 which are representations of the sixty four individual celebrity squares shown in figure 3.The drawing shows how the cards are designed to fit within the squares from figure 1.
For each of the sixty four squares there are four respective cards.
The game uses no other apparatus for play other than the cards and board provided.

Claims (4)

1 A board game comprising of a theme, concept, playing surface and plurality of cards for playing a board game.
2 A board game as claimed in Claim 1 wherein explanation means are provided of the theme.
3 A board game as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein detailed
description means are provided of the concept.
4 A board game substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawing.
