Abstract

A blister pack particularly for adhesive products has a tear strip 4 for opening the pack defined in a backboard 1 by perforated cut lines.

Description

Ultra-Loc System The invention relates to a universal tear-strip system
for opening adhesive products that utilise blister card packaging formats.
Current tear-stRp designs that are used in conjunction with blister card products are commonplace, but are rare in the packaging of adhesive products. Occasionally the tear- strips that are utilised suffer from the disadvantage of restricting full and unhindered access to the product contained within, this is because the tear-strip designs are integrated into the packaging in a horizontal position.
The object of this invention is to create an efficient and reliable opening system (in the form of a tear-strip) for adhesive products, specifically focused towards blister card packaging formats.
The Ultra-Loc System incorporates into the cardboard/paper (backing) element of any current fommat of blister card packaging used for adhesive products. Utilising two parallel-perforated cuts that are stamped into the material during manufacture/production, the tear-strip allows the end user to open the product and gain entry to the product.
The Ultra-Loc System would be incorporated into primarily cardboardipaper materials, but instead coup be adapted to plastics material(s).
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1: Shows a perspective view of the Ultra-Loc (Tear-Strip) Opening System in its 1 condition.
FIGURE 2: Shows a perspective view of the Ultra-Loc (Tear-Strip) Opening System in its 2nd condition.
As shown in Figure 1, the Ultra-Loc (Teartrip) Opening System (6) incorporates into the cardboard/ paper (Backboard) element of the blister card product (1). The system comprises of two symmetrical perforated cut lines 3) that runs prtrnarily in a vertical direction, but can also be adapted to nun horizontally (the former is shown in both Figure 1 and Figure 2).
The tear-strip can be peeled back to reveal the product contained within by pulling the strip at point (4) in the direction of pivot (5).
Figure 2 shows how the Ultra-Loc (Tear-Strip) Opening System (6) looks when in an opened state.

Claims (5)

  1. Claims 1. A universal tear-strip system for opening adhesive products that
