Abstract
A heel for a dancing shoes that incorporates a sound box 1 / 1 A for the enhancement of the acoustic clicking of the heels when the wearer executes Irish/Flamenco and other forms of dancing movements. The heel is detachably attached to a dancing shoe via screw posts that are incorporated into the heel. The number of screws, type of screws and location of the screws may be changed to meet pressure demand on the heel when dancing. The heel is hollow 1/12/2C with an aperture 1/12/23/3D in the base that allows air to travel in and out to enhance the click of the heel during dance movements. The aperture or wall thickness can be enlarged or minimised to provide a different click effects eg. sharper or duller sounds. The heels may be made from ferrous or non-ferrous materials that are very light in weight to allow dancers to enhance their performance.
Description
DANCE=QE HEELS This invention relates to a design of a new dance shoe
"Heel" made of ferrous or non-ferrous metals which is designed to be used
in dancing field
This invention differs from normal dance heels made from other materials This invention is unique in shape and size Unlike other heels used in dance fields this invention has a capability of incorporating a sound box (see drawing No 1/lA) that neccessary "click of the heels" sound for the enhancement of acoustic which is important in certain dance arts for example Irish Dance/ Flamenco and various kinds of Russian dances : This invention has screw posts (see drawing 3/3B) incorporated in the heel so that the heels can be attached (or removed) to/from the shoe easily This invention is hollow (see drawings No 1/1 2/2C) inside with an Aperture(hole) see drawings No 1/1 2/2 3/3D in the base which allows air to travel in and out for creating "click effect sound"- which is essential when executing Irish / Flamenco and various kinds of Russian dance movements The aperture (hole)-see drawings No 1/1 2/2 3/3D on the base can be enlarged or minimised in order to produce a different click effect (sharper or duller) would when executing certain dance movements The "Heels" being made of metal are very light in weight and lighter than existing heels made of TuLnol or other such like materials. It is a great advantage for dancers of Irish /Flamenco and various kinds of Russian dances to enhance their performance This invention is unique in shape/width/high and weight but some parts of the heels can be changed slightly to: Produce different sound effect by increasing or decreasing aperture on the base of the heel Increasing the height heels of the edge of the inner heel which will allow the dancers execute certain movements with a minimum effort Change location/length/ thickness and numbers of the screws to meet pressure demand on the heel when dancing but keeping its overall appearance at all times Manufacturing details This invention can be manufactured by: Machining -for smaller quantities Sand casting/mould -for volume production.
The metal can be tinted to a desired colour for production quantities
