Abstract

A plant container 1 comprises a container with a socket set into the base for the reception of a tube, pipe or pole 2 which supports the container above ground level. The container may be rotated about the pole. The stand may be fitted with a sliding disc 5 which helps to stabilise the support when in position in the ground. The container may be circular, semi-circular or rectangular in shape. A rectangular container may be supported by more than one support.

Description

Rotational Harden plant container Garden plants are almost universally

grown in a basket type container, which is suspended by chains from a bracket fixed to a solid surface. This is often the exterior house wall or fence.

The invention descnbed, offers a means of achieving the growing of all types of plants including trailing varieties on a free standing stand, which can be inserted into the ground or deep container containing soil or compost. The container can be removed to facilitate the changing of plants whilst the stand remains in situ.

The plant container, a separate item, incorporates a special purpose receptacle into which the pole/tube is inserted, thus supporting the container and allowing it to rotate.

The stand is a tube/pipe/pole, The shape of the container can be circular, semicircular or rectangular.

A rectangular version of plant container can be situated anywhere in the garden using the same cup shape to enable east removal and can be of any reasonable length A specific example of the invention will now be described with refrence to the following drawings Fig 1 Shows plant container with cup shaped centre Fig 2 Shows main tubular stand Fig 3 shows plant container atop main stand Fig 4 Shows stabilsing disc with centre hole.

Claims

1. A plant basket type container comprising a container having an upturned cup shape in which a tube/pipe/pole may be inserted thereby supporting or holding the container in position above the ground or other surface.

2. A plant container as claimed in Claim 1 of circular shape within which the cup placed centrally has a circumference slightly larger than tube/pipe/pole enabling the container to be rotated.

3. A plant container as claimed in Claim 1 of rectangular shape.

4. A plant container as claimed in Claim 1 thru 3 which incorporates a sliding disc affixed to tube/pipe/pole to assist in the retaining of this support when in position.

5. A type of insert that can be used on existing circular plant containers to achieve the same rotational effect.

6. A plant container as claimed In any of Claims 1 thru 5 substantially herein described.

Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows A plant basket type container comprising a container with the centre base raised into an upturned cup shape into which a tube/pipe/pole may be inserted thereby supporting or holding the container in position above the ground or other surface The central cup shape as an integral part of the container allows the container to be easily placed on or off the support without any additional fixings The container has additional holes around it for the addition of extra plants 2. A plant container as claimed in Claim 1 of circular shape within which the cup placed centrally has a circumference slightly larger than tube/pipe/pole enabling the container to be rotated 3. A plant container as claimed in Claim 1 of rectangular shape.
