Abstract
A dispensing scoop for washing detergent in powder or liquid form comprises a spherical vessel and a removable handle. The removable handle clips around the spherical vessel, so that the vessel can be used as a scoop to scoop up powder. Alternatively, liquid may be poured into the spherical vessel to a level indicated by graduated marks. The handle may be detached from the vessel to allow the vessel to be placed directly into the drum of a washing machine, for in-wash dispensing of detergent.
Description
Fabron Multi-Scoop The invention relates to a system for efficiently
measuring and dispensing both washing powder and liquid.
Current washing scoops are only designed to measure/dispense either powder or liquid and do not have the capacity to be used for both types of product. Scoops at present also suffer from another disadvantage, in that they cannot be efficiently stored along side the product so that both scoop and product do not come in contact with each other, without the aid of any external devices or packaging.
The object of this invention is to create a product that can measure and dispense (Including in-wash dispensing) both powder and liquid whilst incorporating a facility for storing the scoop along side the product(s) in such a way that it does not come in physical contact with the product(s) itself, without any aid, there by maintaining a high standard of hygiene and lengthening the product life.
The multi-scoop comprises of two separate parts: a sphere shaped scoop with built in pouring spout, and a clip on handle, which also allows the scoop to be clipped onto the side of an object, i.e. the washing powder box. Bow parts join to form the Mulb-Scoop.
The Multi-Scoop would be made from a combination of plastic materials, using in both injection and blow moulding manufacturing processes.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1: Shows a threedimensional view of the sphere-shaped scoop.
FIGURE 2: Shows a three-dimensional view of the clip on handle.
FIGURE 3: Shows a side elevation view of the scoop and clip on handle joined together, forming the Multi-Scoop.
FIGURE 4: Shows a front elevation view of the Multi-Scoop.
FIGURE 5: Shows a plan elevation view.
As shown in Figure 1, the 'scoop' component of the Multi-Scoop comprises of a sphere shaped vessel with a built in aperture (1) designed for pouringidispensing both washing liquid and powder. Level indicator lines (2) are marked around the circumference of the vessel to give accurate dosages of liquid or powder in accordance with guidelines of the specified product.
The 'scoop' can be used individually as an 'In-Wash' dispensing device for washing liquid or can be joined together with the clip-on handle to form the Multi-Scoop.
Figure 2 shows the 'clip-on handle', which comprises of three parts: A small curved shaped handle (3), and three supporting arms (4) which grip the 'scoop' and hold it in place. On the ends of the upper two arms, mere is a texture moulded into me plastic (5) giving an extra surface that provides grip.
As shown in Figure 3, the bottom of the small handle comes level with the upper two supporting arms. This allows the user to grip the MuHicoop around the Circumference, providing an alternative to using me handle provided. The textured surfaces located on the end of the upper two supporting arms help facilitate mist Figure 4 shows has the 'clip-on handle' joins together with me 'scoop' As shown in Figure 5, the top half of me 'scoop' graduates in thickness around the front portion, which allows for a more efficient flow when pouring me liquid/powder.
Claims (7)
- Claims 1. A measuring and dispensing device for both washing powder andliquid, comprising of two parts: a sphere shaped vessel (or scoop) and a dip-on handle.
- 2. A measuring and dispensing device as claimed in Claim 1 where the sphere shaped vessel (or scoop) can be used separately as an 'in-wash' liquid dispenser.
- 3. A measuring and dispensing device as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 where the sphere shaped vessel incorporates a built-in pouring aperture.
- 4. A measuring and dispensing device as claimed in Claim 3 where the sphere shaped vessel graduates in thickness around the surface area incorporating the built-in pouring aperture.
- 5. A measuring and dispensing device as claimed in any proceeding claim where me clip-on handle allows the device, when combined with me sphere shaped vessel, to be attached to a products packaging for efficient and hygienic storage.
- 6. A measuring and dispensing device as dairned in any proceeding claim which is made from any type of plastic material or combination of plastic materials.
- 7. A measuring and dispensing device as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
