Drinking-vessels; sugar-holders; stands.-The egg-holder of the parent Specification is adapted for carrying or supporting various articles other than eggs, such as spare electric-lamp bulbs for use on motor-cars, salt, sugar, and like receptacles, cups, tumblers, &c. The holder is made from one or more lengths of wire or strip metal arranged to form a series of loops, bends, or convolutions and thereby provide a series of upstanding spring jaws or fingers adapted to embrace and' grip the article, the lower parts of the loops or convolutions, or the parts joining adjacent fingers, being bent outwards to constitute feet or supports. Fig. 1 shows a holder for holding in a box &c. a spare electric-lamp bulb. The holder is made from a single length of spring wire which is bent into a convoluted or zig-zag formation so as to produce a number of substantially parallel spring jaws or fingers 1 of an inverted-U shape. The jaws are separated laterally and the ends of the wire are brought together and joined to each other by a sleeve connector 3 soldered in place; or the ends may be directly soldered or twisted together. The returned or doubled portions 2 of the wire which join the lower ends of adjacent jaws are bent outwards to form feet by means of which the holder is supported in the box and by which it may be fastened in place. The upper ends of the jaws may be bent inwards to give a bowed formation. Fig. 3 shows a salt-cellar holder, the upper ends of the spring jaws 1 being bent inwards at 6 to engage over the rim of the bowl. Fig. 5 shows a tumbler holder, one of the returned portions joining the lower ends of two adjacent jaws being bent inwards to form a base or support 8 for the bottom of the tumbler to rest upon. The holder may be provided with means for preventing the jaws from opening too far.
