Abstract

A plaque removing toothbrush 1 has two bends 2, 3 at the neck end, each bend being of almost 90{. A fan shaped arrangement of bristles 4, 6, 7 is mounted in the end of the shaft. The handle 5 of the toothbrush is slightly bulged to give a comfortable grip.

Description

PLAQUE REMOVER
The invention refers to a toothbrush with the specific aim of removing plaque.
Such toothbrushes are well known, however, they suffer from the disadvantage of not being able to remove plaque under the gum line.
The object of this invention is to provide a toothbrush which removes plaque close to and under the gums with the intention of preventing and reducing gum disease.
Accordingly, this invention has two bends at the neck allowing greater finger control and a variety of grips, which assist in close in cleaning. The bristles are flat in cross section and are curved across the head allowing cleaning under the gum line.
The invention would be made of plastic in order to aid hygiene.
FIGURE 1 shows a side view of the toothbrush.
FIGURE 2 shows a top view of the toothbrush.
FIGURE 3 shows a close in top view of the bristles.
As shown in Figure the toothbrush is slightly bulged (1) at the handle end to give a comfortable grip and then bends at nearly 90 degrees towards the head (2). The body of the toothbrush then bends at 90 degrees again (3).
The bristles are flat in cross section (4).
Figure 2 again shows the toothbrush is bulged (5) at one end to give a comfortable grip. The bristles are curved at the end (6).
Figure 3 shows the curve of the bristles in close up (7).

Claims (2)

1. A toothbrush with two bends at the neck and bristles flat in cross section and curved across the head.
2. A toothbrush substantially as herein described above and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
