Abstract

240,978. Lowenthal, A. E. Aug. 23, 1924. Saddles or other seats of the type in which the top is formed of two plates 2, 3 of sheet-metal, blocked leather, or other rigid material, with springs 5 interposed, are provided with guideposts 1 projecting downwardly from the plate 2 and passing through guide-bushes &c. 4 on the plate 3. The springs 5 are arranged in a ring around the outer edge of the rear pan or seat portion, and in, a row along the longitudinal axis of the peak portion. The upper plate 2 may rest on the spring 5 without being attached thereto, so that it may be lifted off if required.
