Abstract
A dust protection door comprises a flexible panel which may be temporarily fixed to an existing door surround and which has an openable panel which is sealable with releasable fastenings. The device is affixed to the door surround with adhesive tape, while the central openable panel has zips or zippers down the two opposite long edges. The lowermost short edge of the panel is fitted with hook and loop tape to maintain a seal near the floor. The panel, when released and unzipped, may be rolled and supported at the top of the doorway by fabric tabs. The device may be constructed from fabric or plastic material.
Description
DESCRIPTION
DUST PROTECTION DOOR
The invention relates to a fabric / material based re sealable door panel which consists of zip openings and hooks & loop panels which can be secured to standard internal and external doors to prevent dust transfers from room to room.
The invention is secured to a door surround with adhesive tape or alike which seals and also prevents dust transfer.
The object of this invention is to provide easy access in and out of a working environment with a secure dust prevention defence still intact. This invention provides a door panel with zippers with a hook & loop sealing panel for entry or exit of a room.
Preferably the invention is made from fabrics or plastic.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows a front view of the door panel.
FIQURE 2 shows enlarged front view of hook & loop tabs retaining rolled door panel.
As shown in figure 1, the door panel comprises a fabric panel with zippers (1) with a hook (2) and loop (3) sewn in panel at base. As shown in figure 2 (4) Shows front view of the three fabric tabs which stow the rolled door panel for access.
Claims (1)
- DUST PROTECTION DOOR1. A fabric or alike door panel including zips and hook & loop panels which creates a reseal able opening for access.2. A fabric or alike door panel as claimed in Claim I where the door panel includes tabs to hold rolled open door panel.3. A fabric or alike door as claimed in any proceeding claim which is made from nylon/cotton fabric, plastics materials, hook & loop or from a combination of these materials.4. A door panel substantially as herein described above and illustrated in the accompanying c rawlngs.Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. A dust screen of the type which can, but is not limited too, be mountable and secured to the surrounds of a door or similar building aperture and having a peripheral edge which is sealed with adhesive tape or alike to provide a dust proof environment maintaining a seal to prevent dust transfer, the screen being formed from a flexible material for providing a dust protection defence, within which is defined a hanging rectangular flexible panel forming a re-sealable non weighted entry or exit free door panel overlapping the base of the screen but forming part of the screen with a sealing panel overlap for sealing to the base of the screen, having eight variations of open access mode including a secured stowed rolled open mode providing door entry or exit access whilst maintaining the screens dust proof seal along the screens peripheral edge, with parallel zips and sewn hook & loop fastenings providing a sealed dust proof closed door panel mode, the door entry or exit panel being re-sealable and secured along the door entry or exit panels base and upright sides.2 A dust screen as claimed in Claim 1 in which, the unrolled hanging door entry or exit panel overlaps the base of the screen and provides a sealing panel and dust-proof seal with the screen when the door entry or exit panel sides are zip fastened with the screens inner sides and the rear of the overlapping sealing panel base of the door entry or exit panel is fastened with sewn hook & loop fastenings to complimentary hook & loop parts sewn adjacent to the inner top edge of the front of the base of the screen in its sealed closed mode and in its unfastened open mode the door access panel facilitates door entry or exit access or general access in eight variations there through.3. A dust screen as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 which in the open unsealed mode, the hook & loop fastening on the rear of the sealing panel of the hanging door entry or exit panels overlap with the screens base is released from the hook & loop fastening sewn adjacent to the inner top edge of the front base of the screen and unzipped along its sides and rolled upwardly within the screen towards its region for stow and is secured and retained at the top of the screen by a plurality of straps provided thereon, the straps being located the rear of the screen and being sufficient to encompass an excess of the diameter of the rolled door entry or exit panel and providing sewn hook loo fastenings to retain and stow the door entry or exit panel for the purpose of full entry or exit with complimentary tabs above the door entry or exit access panel servicing to retain the straps, whilst maintaining the base of the screens adhesive tape dust proof seal to the surrounds and all along the peripheral edge of the screen to the surrounds 4 A dust screen as claimed in any one of the preceding claims which in the open unsealed access mode provides eight mode variations of access via a combination of or by releasing the hook & loop fastening on the rear of the sealing panel of the hanging door entry or exit panels overlap with the screens base from the nook & loop fastening sewn adjacent to the inner top edge of the front base of the screen and or unzipping along either of its upright sides and or being rolled upwardly within the screen towards its region for stow, such mode variations being, 1) left zip unzipped for access, 2) right zip unzipped for access, 3) both left and right zips unzipped for access, 4) left zip unzipped together with hook & loop released from the base, 5) right zip unzipped together with hook & loop released from the base, 6) both left and right zips unzipped together with hook & loop released from the base, 7) hook & loop released from the base, 8) both left and right zips unzipped together with hook & loop released from the base and door rolled for full door access, with all modes maintaining the base of the screens adhesive tape dust proof seal to the surrounds and all along the peripheral edge of the screen to the surrounds.A dust screen as claimed in any one of the preceding claims in which, the hanging door entry or exit panel includes parallel zips fasteners along its upright sides and sewn hook & loop fastening along its base for means of creating a dust-proof seal with the screen and securing the door entry or exit panel to the screen in said closed mode.6. A dust screen as claimed in any one of the preceding claims in which, the hanging door entry or exit panel overlaps the base of the screen and its re-sealable fastening comprises of parallel zip fasteners along the upright side edges of the door entry or exit panel, with sewn hook & loop fastening along the rear of the sealing panel overlap of the free non weighted end of the entry or exit door access panel, the inner upper front edge of the base of the screen being provided with sewn complimentary parts of said hook & loop fastening adjacent to its upper edge for securing the door entry or exit panel sealing panel overlap, and the lower peripheral edge of the base of the screen providing a dust proof seal secured with adhesive tape or alike, the peripheral edge and base of the screen being maintained and secured and sealed in position In all modes of open and closed modes for securing the door entry or exit panel whilst maintaining the adhesive tape dust proof seal to the surrounds all along the peripheral edge of the screen to the surrounds. - Is 7. A dust screen as claimed In any one of the preceding claims In which, the material is selected from a plastics material sheet, such nylon, and a fabric sheet, such as cotton.8.
