Abstract

A drug rape protection device comprising a closure having a conical cup shape, and having one or more tabs which have an adhesive or glue to secure the closure to a drinks container. The closure can be made from paper and the adhesive may be a non toxic soluble adhesive.

Description

DRUG FREE PROTECTION DEVICE
This invention relates to protecting drugs being put into drink glasses with the intent of drug rape.
The increasing rate of claims of drug induced rape due to drinks being tampered with in pubs and clubs is alarming and has been headline news.
The only advice given to females is always watch your glass, dont accept drinks, dont leave drink on table when going to dance/ toilet etc. This device is intended to provide extra security by applying it to a glass by bartended, sealing it onto the glass and can only be removed by tearing open- so will show obvious if it has been tampered with.
The invention is comprised of paper and non toxic soluble glue with removable tape to reveal the glue and stick flaps to glass, the shape is a conical cup shape which fits over the glass.
Sizes will vary according to glass used.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to accompanying drawings in which: Fig I Shows side perspective Fig 2. Shows flaps which stick to glass Fig 3: Shows downward view of device Fig 4. Shows the invention with the glue exposed and the flaps stuck to glass.
Once the drink is given to woman the cover will be intact and has not been tampered with the recipient can then tear of the invention in secure knowledge the drink is safe.

Claims (4)

  1. I There are no devices of this kind on the market and will provide a safer environment for people to drink sensibly.
  2. 2 The invention will be a deferent towards potential drug rape offenders.
  3. 3 As the invention is applied before drink is served it will not allow powder/pills to be dropped into drink.
  4. 4. Women only can ask for spare devices.
    The paper is biodegradable and the glue non-toxic.
    6 The invention will be available in different sizes to large and small glasses.
