Abstract

A dispenser (2) for a stack of pre-formed flattened bags (1) has a wall (10) around which the bags are folded and secured. The bag stack is folded around the wall such that it bends at a position intermediate the mouth and base ends. A retention loop (11) formed from said wall engages with a detachable portion (4) of the bags such that when the main body of the uppermost bag in the stack is pulled relative to the loop it becomes detached from its detachable portion which is retained by the retention member. A pair of arms (12) extends from the wall and pass around the lower portion of the bags so as to hold them against the wall.
