Abstract

A wind propelled vehicle includes a mast, a sail and base board. The vehicle may be adapted to travel on land, snow and water using wheels, skis and fins.

Wind Driven Carriage Description
The Wind Driven Carriage can be used on water, on J and or on snow.
Fig 1 is an early version of the Nind Driven Carriage, steering is by rotation of the disc on whicLJ the feet are placed. The conically shaped east sail column can also be rotated. Reheels may be attached to the board so that it can be driven on land. Figures to 5 is this version of the Wind Driven Carriage. Fin is a side view of this Wd Orbiter: Carriage. Fig 2.1 is the conically shaped sail. Fig 2 is the ring shaped mast. Fig 2.3 is the internal secticn of the conically shaped mast column. Fig 2.4 is the sheaf of the mast column. Fig 2.5 is the base board. Fig 2. G is a rotatable securing disc. Fig 2.7 is a rotatable disc.

Attachments that could be used on either version are as follows. Fig 19 is a turning ski with bolts for attachment to the turning disc. Fig 20 is a turning fin with bolts for attachment to the turning disc. Fig 21 and Fig 22 are methods of lengthening or shortening the mast column to cater for different sized users. Fig 21 is a screw method with a securing collar. Fig 22 is a internal holed column which goes inside a sheaf which also has holes, at the correct height the holes are aligned and a fly nut bolt is used.
Fig 23 to Fig 26 are views from below of the Wind Driven Carriage. Fig 27 shows a turning fin in place.
Fig 24 shows wheels in piece. Fig 25 shows skis in place with a single front turning ski. Fig 26 shows skis in place with a double front turning ski Fig 27 shows a turning disc with attachments.
Fig 28 shows a mast column pivot with attachments.
Fig 29 is the mast column securing end. Fig 30 is the foot disc to foot disc cog column. Fig 31 are projections for attachment purposes, in this case for attachment of a ski to the base board. Fit.; 32 is a ski with attachment bolts. Fig 33 is the turning disc with turning disc skis to be attached with their f sing bolts.
Fig 34 is a quick releaser wheel innards. Fig 35 is a cover which can be slid over the base board to ensure the Wind Driven Carriage goes over the water with least friction.

Claims (9)

    Wind Driven Carriage Clams 1. The Wind Driven Carriage can have a fin,_tahed for use on water, or wheels attached for use on 7 At or skis attached for use on snow, the motive force beg provided via a sail and wind power, the transportation device con be turned.
  2. 2. A Wind Driven Carriage as in Claim 1 which may Use bolts which can be tightened or loosened by hands.

  8. 8. A Wind Driven Carriage as in Claim with wheels which have bearing races which can be removed and replaced with ease.
