Abstract

The tennis ball retriever is affixed to a tennis racquet. One side of the retriever has a series of fine hooks the other side has an adhesive coating which sticks the retriever to the racquet. The tennis ball retriever can be in varying lengths, depths and widths to suit the racquet and weave of the tennis ball. The tennis ball retriever when affixed to the racquet is pressed against a tennis ball. The hooks on the surface of the tennis ball retriever engage with the loops on the tennis ball enabling its retrieval by the player with the racquet.

Description
A Tennis ball retriever
Background
The background for this invention is addressing the problem encountered when picking up tennis balls while playing or practicing tennis. As you progress through the game the operation of constantly picking up balls becomes tiresome and accounts for fatigue when playing or practicing.
Essential features The essential feature of this invention is the fixing of a strip to the tennis racquet. The strip can vary in length/width/depth to match the tennis racquet used. One side of the strip carries adhesive and the other fine hooks which engage with the fibres of the tennis ball. When pressure is applied to the ball the fine hooks on the strip engage with the fibrcs on the ball enabling it to be picked up by the racket. This extends the players arm and alleviates bending and picking up balls. The strip can be positioned to any part of the racket to match the player's convenience.
