Abstract

A baby Food Bag has a small sizing with guided fill levels 7 which are appropriate to the requirements of the end recipients of the contents of the bag, according to their age. Preferably the bag has an expandable base design (3, Fig.1) to assist the stability of the bag, as well as a wide neck design (6, Fig. 1), both of which ease the loading of the proposed contents into the bag. The bag may then be closed and frozen. The bag may have pre-printed information 7,9 to assist the end user in the required defrosting and reheating times required. The bag may have a printed scissor cut-line 10 in the bottom corner of the bag to assist the end user in unloading the contents of the bag.

1. Technical Field

This invention relates to Baby Food Freezer Bag

2. Background

Freezer bags are well known depositories and storage mechanisms for food, comprising of a plastic unit which can be sealed once food is placed inside them, stored, and then reopened at a later date for the recovery of the stored items.

Standard, (even small sized) freezer bags are not designed specifically for ease of use when loading them with baby food, with the right quantities, or then defrosting and easily unloading the baby-food ready for consumption.

Ice cube trays also currently used to store frozen baby food, can be inconvenient and have drawbacks, especially as the quantity of food required per meal increases past one or two cubes.

3. Essential technical features According to the present invention there is provided a baby food freezer bag comprising a) Small Sizing of freezer bags with guided fill levels b) Printed scissor cut- line guide for unloading mechanism in bottom left corner c) Expandable base design d) Wide neck e) Pre-printing information detailing estimated defrosting and re-heating times, varying according to fill levels (a) above

4. Example

A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective the bag size and shape (incorporating technical features a), c) and d)) Figure 2 shows the bags frontal pre-printed information (incorporating technical features a) b) and e)) l / Referring to the drawing, the bag comprises a rectangular front 1 and back 2 panel, with a central base panel 3, and two side panels 4 and 5 joining the front to the rear panel. The neck of the bag 6 is wide (bag closing mechanism unspecified).

The user can mark the contents/ date section 8 of the bag,(Figure 2), load the contents through the wide neck 6, to the appropriate marked fill level 7, (bag text example only). The bag is then closed (mechanism unspecified), and stored as appropriate.

At time of use, the user makes reference to the pre- printed defrost/ reheat guide 9. To then unload the food the user follows the pre-printed scissor cut line guide 10, enabling the contents to be squeezed out of the bottom left corner into a suitable container.

The bag can then be disposed of. t

Claims

1. A Baby Food Freezer Bag comprising a small sizing of freezer bags with pre-printed guide fill levels, a printed scissor cut-line for unloading from the bottom of the bag, an expandable base and a wide neck design for the bag, and pre-printed information detailing estimated defrosting and reheating times for the contents of the bag.

2. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in Claim 1 comprising a small unspecified but appropriate sizing of freezer bags with unspecified preprinted guide fill levels, both of which are based herein on the estimated volume requirements of the end recipients of the contents of the bag according to their age, to assist the filling of the baby food freezer bag to the estimated appropriate level.

3. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in Claim 1 and 2 comprising a printed scissor cut-line in the bottom corner of the bag, to assist the unloading of the contents from the baby food freezer bag.

4. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in all preceding claims comprising an expandable base, to assist in the stability of the baby food freezer bag during the loading of the contents into the bag.

5. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in Claim 4 comprising a wide neck design, to assist in the loading of the contents into the bag.

6. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in Claim 4 and 5 comprising unspecified pre-printed information detailing estimated defrosting and reheating times, in relation to the pre-printed guide levels based on the estimated volume requirements of the end recipients of the contents of the bag (as detailed in Claim 2) to assist the preparation of the contents of the baby food freezer bag for consumption.

7. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in all preceding claims, which is made from unspecified plastic material suitable for food use in the microwave and freezer.

8. A Baby Food Freezer Bag as claimed in all preceding claims, which has an unspecified closure mechanism ensuring the secure and hygienic storage of the contents of the bag.

9. A Baby Food Freezer Bag substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-2 of the accompanying drawing.
