Abstract

Butter is produced in thin square shaped slices. The slices will be sized slightly smaller than the average bread slice. The slices are laid on top of slightly larger sized separation sheets of greaseproof paper or plastic. The slices can then be stacked up on top if each other. Each slice is separated from the next by the separation sheets. The stack of butter slices is then wrapped for storage.

Description

BUTTER SLICES
The invention is a new way of storing butter. In thin bread sized slices separated by greaseproof paper. Butter in such a form allows for easy application onto bread straight from a refrigerator.
Butter is normally produced in solid rectangular blocks. Butter should be preserved in a refrigerator to maintain maximum freshness. A block of butter stored in a refrigerator, at a low temperature is in a hardened state. A solid block of chilled butter is very difficult to spread.
When chilled butter is required irurnediately to be spread over bread or toasted bread it is almost impossible to achieve even coverage without damaging the bread. Usually it would be necessary to remove a block of butter, from the chilled refrigerator environment, a considerable amount of time prior to use, to allow it to soften at room temperature for easy manipulation.
The object of the invention is to provide a more convenient way of storing butter at low temperatures to allow instant, efficient and simple coverage of bread.
The butter will be produced in thin slices, slightly smaller than the average bread slice size. The butter slices will separate by thin sheets, preferably the separation sheets will be made of soft plastic or made of greaseproof paper, slightly larger in size than the butter slices. The greaseproof paper layers allow for easy separation of the butter slices. The butter slices can then be stacked up, each separated by a greaseproofpaper sheet, to form a st lick of multiple slices. The stack of slices can then be wrapped in a package.
When required a slice of butter can simply be, eeled from the stack by the attached greaseproof paper sheet. I he butter can then be placed centrally on top of the slice of bread with the greaseproof paper sheet on the upper side of butter. The paper can then be peeled off leaving an even coverage of butter on the bread.
A positive message can be printed on each sheet of greaseproof paper to cheer up the user. This form can also be applied to garlic butter and other butter products. The butter slices can also be produced in different sizes for different bread types, for example crumpets or baguettes size. Shape variations are also possible such as heart shapes or teddy bear shapes to appeal to children. The butter slices can also be produced in different thicknesses to cater for individual tastes.
FIGURE 1 shows an aerial view of a butter slice; FIG-ORE 2 shows a side view of a stack of butter slices.
A typical butter slice is shown in figure I. This in an aerial view ofthe slice l.on top of a slightly larger sheet of greaseproof paper 2.
Multiple slices of butter would be produced in Win slices and stacked together. Figure shows how the butter slices 1, would be -tacked together for storage in a refrigerator.
Each butter slice 1 being separated by a slightly larger greaseproof paper sheet 2.
