Abstract

A barbeque stand which is designed to hold 2 standard disposable barbeques for transportation and 1 disposable barbeque when in use for cooking comprises a frame constructed to such dimensions that standard disposable barbeques as available from supermarkets etc. fit neatly within the confines of the frame. On each corner of the barbeque stand is a leg (B) which is independently adjustable for height. This height adjustment is facilitated by the ability to slide up or down inside a tube (C) which is fixed to the main frame of the stand. Locking of the legs at the desired height is by tightening of a threaded, wing headed bolt(D). The stand has a rail (E) to prevent food from rolling off. Stand can hold either 1 or 2 disposable barbeques, held in place for transportation purpose with simple elasticated straps.

INSTANT BARBEQUE STAND
DESCRIPTION
The Instant Barbeque Stand is designed to hold 2 standard dispos- able barbeques for transportation and 1 disposable barbeque when in use for cooking. It has a frame constructed from steel rod and the dimensions are such that a standard disposable barbeque as avail- able from supermarkets etc. fits neatly within the confines of the frame. On each corner of the Instant Barbeque Stand is a steel rod which serves as a leg. The legs are adjustable for height. This height adjustment is facilitated by the ability to slide up or down inside a tube which is fixed to the main frame of the stand. Locking of the legs at the desired height is by tightening of a threaded, wing headed bolt. The advantages of this design is that a level cooking surface can be achieved even when set on uneven surfaces. An added advan- tage is that the height provided by the legs means that cooking can be done on the top of wooden picnic tables, as found in parks, or on areas of grass, without charring the surface.
Another feature of the design is a raised rail to the rear of the cooking surface to prevent food from rolling off.
During transportation the Instant Barbeque Stand can hold either 1 or 2 disposable barbeques, held in place with simple elasticated straps, and takes up little more space than the disposable barbeques themselves.

Claims (7)

CLAIMS INSTANT BARBEQUE STAND
1. A stand designed to hold 2 standard disposable barbeques for transportation and 1 disposable barbeque when in use for cooking.
2. A stand as claimed in claim 1 where height adjustment and levelling is facilitated by adjustable legs on each corner.
3. A stand as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 which includes a rail to prevent food from rolling off.
4. A stand as claimed in any preceding claim which prevents heat from disposable barbeques damaging surfaces it is placed on.
5. A stand as claimed in any preceding claim with storage space for two standard disposable barbeques.
6. A stand as claimed in any preceding claim which is made from metal or plastics, or from a combination of these materials.
7. An Instant Barbeque Stand substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
