Phosgene is caused to react upon a bisorthoaminooxy-arsenobenzene. Alternatively, an orthoaminooxy-benzenearsinic acid is treated with phosgene and then reduced. The products, which probably contain benzoxazolon groups, possess therapeutic properties, Examples are given of the treatment of 4 : 41-diamino-3 : 31-dioxyarsenobenzene and of 3 : 31-diamino-4 : 41-dioxyarsenobenzene with phosgene, and of the reduction of the product of the interaction of phosgene with 3-oxy-4-aminobenzene-1-arsinic acid.
