Abstract

The lock comprises a U-shaped locking member 1 which slides into two support members 5. The U-shaped member and the supports have holes 3 which enable a bolt 6 to be passed through the support and the U-shaped member. This aligns a further set of holes 3 enabling the supports and the U-shaped member to be locked together using a padlock or similar device. The supports are fixed to the ground.

Description

2399 1 36 Motor Cycle Scooter Lock The invention relates to a locking
device that is secured to the ground by either bolting on to, or fixing into the ground, which may be put permanently anywhere convenient where there is solid ground.
Locking devices are well-known, but suffer from the disadvantages that they can be cut, sawn, time consuming to put on and when on the motor cycle can still be lifted enabling the wheels to be removed.
This invention is to provide the lock to hold the motorcycle close and tight to the ground.
It will provide a locking system, which includes an inverted 'U' shaped solid bar which slides into a sleeve at either end of the bar, which is permanently fixed to a solid base.
This lock is made of hardened steel, with some plastics and foam coverings A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 Shows upper part of lock Figure 2 shows bottom part of lock (Sleeve) Figure 3 shows small bar Figure 4 shows front view of whole lock As shown in figure 1 the upper part of the lock is an inverted 'U' shape metal bar, with a hole at each end, and protective covering (2) Figure 2, shows bottom part, the sleeve, when upper part of lock is pushed into sleeve it will stop, when in small bar (6), the holes (3) will then line up at the top of the sleeve.
The sleeve (4) is fixed to a metal plate (5). The sleeve (4) is permanently fixed into the ground with a building material or fixed on top of the ground with a bolt fixing through holes (7).
Figure 5 shows sleeve smaller in height for top of ground fixing.

Claims (4)

1. A Motorcycle scooter lock including an inverted 'U' shaped bar, which is fixed at the base, and two supports. Which are permanently fixed at the base.
2. A lock as claimed in 1. where the supports include holes for locking in position.
3. A lock as claimed in 1. or claim 2, where the supports fix over the bar and holes are aligned and a small portable locking devise with key locks through holes.
4. A motorcycle scooter lock substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
