A sand tray moulded in plastics or fabricated in glass fibre material to form a practice golf bunker which is free standing and static, but can be relocated after removal of the sand from the tray. The tray is higher at one end and curved to form the bunker wall which is covered with artificial turf

Description

PRACTICE GOLF BUNKER
The invention relates to a sand tray moulded in plastics or fabricated in glass fibre material to form a small moveable golf bunker of various designs.
The tray is higher at one end and curved to form the impression of a bunker wall and is covered with artificial turf as in Fig. 3 - I The bunker is intended to be free standing and static but can be relocated after r emoval of the sand from the tray.
The object of the invention is to enable golfers to practice their bunker shots or take lessons at home, in designated areas at a golf course, at a golf academy or golf range.
The principle of the invention is shown by the attached drawings: Fig. I shows a profile of the bunker Fig. 2 shows a plan view with hatching to indicate the artificial turf on the bunker wall.
Fig. 3 shows how the bunkerwill look withtheturfin placeandthe open tray to contain sand.

Claims (4)

1. A sand tray moulded in plastics or fabricated in glass fibre material to form a small practice golf bunker in various designs.
2. A bunker as claimed in I which is free standing and static but may be relocated after removal of the sand.
3. A bunker as claimed in 1 and 2 has one end higher and curved to form a wall which is covered with artificial turf on the inner face.
4. A bunker as claimed in I or 2 or 3 is filled with sand to create a playing surface.
