Abstract

The disc has a central aperture for the wheel hub, a radial split for threading it through the sets of spokes to lie between the sets, and a metal counterweight affixed, e.g. glued, over the split to prevent it rotating when the wheel rotates.

Description

Anthony Atkinson and Thomas McNally This invention relates to a plastic
disc, which is inserted between the spokes of a wheel.
It is intended as a novel method of personalizing/advertising and a security aid.
The diminutions of the discs may vary to suit different applications.
The disc has a hole in the centre and a split enabling it to be fed between the spokes where it rests on the wheel hub.
A metal counter weight is glued over the split on each side of the disc to seal the joint.
The weight also acts as a counter balance to hold the disc stationary as the wheel rotates.

Fig I shows front elevation of thin plastic disc, which has a split from its outer rim to a central hole. The split is to enable the flexible disc to be inserted between the spokes of a wheel. The hole is to locate the disc on the wheel hub. It is prevented from rotating with the wheel by a adhesive backed counter weight. Fixed over the split on either side of the plastic disc.
Fig 2 shows front elevation of wheel with plastic disc inserted between the spokes.

Claims (2)

1 A plastic disc or some other material with a hole in the centre and a split to its Outer rim.
2 A disc as claimed in claims 1 were the counterweight is affixed over the split 3 A disc as in claims 1&2 were the disc stays stationary inside the spokes 4 A disc as in claims 1.2&3 were the disc sits loosely on the wheel hub.
A disc as in claims 1.2 3&4 as described with reference to any drawings.
2 The way the disc slides though the spokes resting on the wheel hub.
3 A metal weight glued over split to stop disc spinning when wheel rotates.
