Abstract

A supporting bracket assembly comprises a base plate (5) for securing to a structure, support means (13) mounted relative to the structure and including stabilising means to stabilise the support means relative to the base plate, and holding means (15) for a cable or the like. The holding means is secured to the support means. Strap means (17) is provided to secure the support means to the base plate, the strap means being arranged in serpentine manner so as to be extensible and to absorb energy when a load is applied to the holding means.
