Abstract
A dedicated picture display system comprises a computer with a memory storing pictures for display and a liquid crystal or plasma display screen. The system is provided with fixings for hanging it on a wall and an infra red remote control for control of the displayed pictures. A USB port may be provided for connection to other equipment. An infra red electronic pen may provide means for changing the pixels on the display and a sensor may detect ambient brightness to alter the brightness of the displayed picture. Also envisaged is means for providing the display with an 'oil painting like' texture.
Description
2397188 COMPUTER PICTURES & ART SYSTEM This invention relates to a
computer picture & arts system Is it obvious ? so you take an LCD screen or a plasma screen and hang it on the wall then ? Well this invention is a DEDICATED system with different micro- circuits than those of a " standard computer". The system should be able to display pictures for long periods of time, the computer inside should be able to hold 100 + or more works of art powered by mains electric & / or rechargeable batteries. Not only should the system be able to display art works but for artists there should be an electronic infrared pen able to draw new art work onto the screen which may then be stored in the micro-processors memory, after some R&D later systems may use a kind of electronic display system that can give some " oil painting like texture" to the pictures. The user will operate the system by means of an infra- red remote control unit there may also be a light sensor to regulate the brightness of the displayed pictures.
According to the present invention there is a liquid crystal display screen or a plasma screen controlled by a dedicated ART computer able to store 100+ pictures in its memory. There is also an infra-red remote control unit.
Figure 1 shows the display screen 1 with its decorative frame 2, remote control sensor 3, picture brightness sensor 4, slimline computer fittings 5, wall fixing 6, pen to make art works 7, and USB port 8.
Claims (7)
1. A DEDICATED art computer system comprising a computer with a number of pictures stored in its memory and a Liquid crystal or Plasma Display screen.
2. A computer display system as claimed in claim 1 operated by an infrared remote control.
3. A computer display system as claimed in claim 1 or 2 with a USB port enabling this device to be connected to other computer equipment.
4 A computer display system as claimed in claim 1, 2 or 3 which allows artists to interact with it to make new works of art by means of an infrared or other electronic pen to alter the make-up of the pixels which form the picture on the screen.
5. A computer display system as claimed in claim 1 - 4 which has a fixing at the rear so that it may be hung upon a wall.
6. A computer display system as claimed in claims 1 - 5 which has a decorative frame around the LCD or plasma display screen.
7. A computer display system which has an electronic sensor to detect the brightness of light in the room and to alter the brightness of the picture displayed accordingly and a picture display system as substantially claimed herein with reference to the accompanying drawing.
