Abstract

239,678. Cross, A. Aug. 14, 1924. Coat and like hangers.-A hanger for supporting woollen coats and similar garments, particularly for drying or airing, comprises a part a similar to an ordinary coat hanger, hinged extensions b, c and clips d. In use, the extensions b, c hold the garment sleeves in a horizontal position, and the clips d are passed over and grip frictionally a supporting rope. For use as a coat hanger, the extensions b, c are folded back on the part a and are supported by catches g, and the clips d may be turned down to suspend a skirt. Trousers may be suspended by being gripped at one end between the part a and the extensions b, c, the latter being locked by catches, not shown. In a modification, the parts a, b, and c are made as a single rigid strip with three clips d.
