Abstract

A padlock for a shed door comprises a flat steel bar with, at one end, a plain end (item 2) slidable through a first, slotted bracket affixed to one side of the door frame (item 2) and comprising a slot at the other end which is passed over a second, perforated bracket (item 3) attached to the other side of the door frame so that the bar can be locked in place by a padlock attached through the perforation in said second bracket so as to prevent opening of the door.

My R & D lor manufacturing shedguard (Application 9809397.4), I have developed the shedguard so as not to use a hinge, but instead use a slotted angle to slid the bass thro'.

Claims (1)

  1. I. A securitylocking device for a door comprising arigid elongatedmembcr, a slotted angle secured to one side of the door frame and a staple secured to a second side of a door lrame, the rigid elongate member being pushed through the slotted angle at one end and being securable at the other end to a staple by a padlock the rigid elongated member having a slot-like aperture for engaging the staple.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows: A locking device for a door comprising of a rigid Elongated member with a slot in one end to go over a staple. A slotted angle secured to one side of the doorframe and a staple secured to the second side of the doorframe. The rigid elongated Member being able to slide through the slotted angle and being securable
