Abstract
239,598. Clark &. Co., Ltd., T. & C., and Iles, C. H. June 12, 1924. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Enamelling. - Centrifugally cast iron pipes &c. are glazed internally while still hot by intro. ducing into the rotating pipe and mould a dusting device containing powdered glazing materials. The mould a which is rotated and traversed while the iron is poured by a stationary duct, is arranged to pass over one or more sieves d, d<1> containing the desired materials and shaken by a vibrator k or otherwise. The sieves may have removable bottom slides m and may be adjusted by rack and pinion h and removed for extraction of the finished pipe by a supporting carriage. A number of sieves are used when under glaze, hard glaze, &c. are to be applied separately, but such glazes may be mixed and supplied from one sieve. Specifications 156.397, [Class 83 (i), Casting &c. metals], and 239,908 are referred to.
