Abstract

The barrier, primarily for use in private driveways and the like to prevent the unauthorised removal of a vehicle, comprises a steel base portion 11 that it designed to be secured in the desired location with concrete or the like, and which contains a number of holes B to help anchor the base in place. A steel column portion 12 is secured to the base portion via a hinge 13 so that it can be moved between an upright position, where it prevents a vehicle from passing, and a lowered, substantially horizontal position, where a vehicle can pass over it. Holes C/E may be placed in the base and column portions to enable the baffler to be secured in the upright position e.g. with a padlock, and a steel triangle 14 may be secured to the free end of the column portion.
