Abstract

A roller skate comprises a base 1 with a plurality of wheels 2, 2' mounted on the base 1. One of the wheels 2 includes a magnetic ring 4 rotatably mounted on axle 7 near coil 6. The arrangement produces electricity to light illumination devices 12, 12'. As the coil is fixed, the colourful lighting effects may be arranged in places other than in the wheels. Constructional details of the axle and its sleeves are given.

Description

TITLE: ELECTRIC POWER GENERATING DEVICE FOR A ROLLER SKATE
Field of the Invention
This invention relates to a roller skate, and more particularly, to a roller skate with capability of self-generating electric power.
5 Background of the Invention
There are numerous roller skates on the market. One of which is equipped with a lighting device around a wheel. This device uses a magnetic ring and an inductive coil located in the center of the wheel axle to spin with each other in an opposite direction. This opposite spinning generates electric power, which was 10 supplied to the lighting device to illuminate.
Most of these roller skates use spinning of an inductive coil and a magnetic ring in an opposite direction to generate electricity and supply the electric power to the lighting device. However, due to the leading wire to transform electricity to the lighting device is limited to its wiring, therefore, all lighting devices are secured to 15 the wheels, thus when skating the lighting devices to produce a colorful illumination effect, and the effect is only limited on the wheels, not other places.
In view of this, the inventor has invented the present invention to provide a magnetic power generating device, which is easy to install and may be installed on any place of the roller skate.
20 Summary of the invention
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide an electric power generating device for a roller skate, which is easy to install.
It is the other object of the present invention to provide an electric power
generating device for a roller skate, which is more attractive.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide an electric power generating device for a roller skate, which is cost effectiveness.
Brief Description of the Drawings
5 FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention FIG. 2 is a crosssectional view of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a view demonstrating usage of the present invention; and FIG. 4 is another view demonstrating usage of the present invention.
Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment
A roller skate equipped with electricity power generator of the present invention comprises a base 1 and a plurality of wheels 2 and 2'. One of the wheels 2 is equipped at one side with an axle sleeve 3, a magnetic ring 4, a barrel sleeve 5 5 and a coil base 6, and all of which are secured to the base 1 of the skate with a wheel axle 7.
The base 1 is secured to the bottom of a skate body 13, and is formed with a fixture 11 corresponding to the coil base 6 at the connecting area of the wheel 2.
The base 1 further comprises illumination devices 12 and 12' that are connected lO with the coil base 6.
The center of the wheel 2 comprises an axle 21 at one side thereof, and the axle 21 comprises a sleeve 21 1 at its center, the other side of the center of the wheel 2 is for insertion of the axle sleeve 3.
The axle sleeve 3 comprises an axle 31 at the inside, and a sleeve 311 is 15 sleeved with the axle 31, the axle sleeve 3 has an extension forming a locating axle 32 thereat, which is sleeved with the magnetic ring 4.
The coil base 6 encloses coil and extends a negative and a positive wires that are connected with the illumination devices 12 and 12'.
To assemble the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the coil is 20 inserted into coil base 6 to form an integral and secured to the fixture 11, then the axle sleeve 3 is secured to one side of the center of the wheel 2 and the magnetic ring 4 is sleeved onto the locating axle 320f the axle sleeve 3, so that the magnetic ring 4 may spin along with the wheel 2. Furthermore, the barrel axle 5 is inserted through the axle sleeve 3, and the axle sleeve 3 of the wheel 2 is sleeved through the
coil base 6, so that the magnetic ring 4 is located in the center of the coil of the coil base 6. Finally, the wheel axle 7 is inserted through the wheel 2 and the coil base 6, and is secured by a fastener 71 to the base 1 of the skate.
To roller the roller skate of the present invention, the wheel 2 brings the 5 magnetic ring 4 to spin with respect to the coil of the coil base 6, thus the coil base 6 generates electric power and provides electricity to the illumination devices 12 and 12' through the wires.
Further, the skate body 13 may also be mounted with illumination devices 131 and 132 which are connected with the coil base 6. Due to the same power 10 generating principle, the illumination devices 131 and 132 ofthc skate body 13 may simultaneously illuminate along with the illumination devices 12 and 12' of the skate base 1.
